Allington Castle Archers is an open club and is one of the longest-established clubs in the south-east. The club was formed in 1969 and was based at Allington Castle. It has a large active membership covering all the bow types available recurve, compound, longbow and barebow.
The club focuses mainly on target archery but some members go to field shoots that are held around the country. There are several senior and county coaches among the membership helping fellow archers develop their skills. There is a wealth of experience in the club and numbers are expanding - archers new to the area and beginners are welcome to enquire about membership.
We shoot outdoors all year round on weekends, and on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in the summer, we also shoot indoors during the winter months.

We had a successful Mid Kent League campaign this year, coming pure score top for the first time in quite a while so well done to Geoff and the team. Our Friday Evening indoor sessions at Lockmeadow are proving popular this year. We will be holding another indoor tournament at Lockmeadow on the 21st February 2016 with Worcester+Portsmouth sessions. See elsewhere on this site for entry details. Our outdoor events next year will again be held at Kings Hill Sports Park. We are holding a beginners course next April, see elsewhere on the site for details.
