Allington Castle Archers is an open club and is one of the longest-established clubs in the south-east. The club was formed in 1969 and was based at Allington Castle. It has a large active membership covering all the bow types available recurve, compound longbow and barebow.
The club focuses mainly on target archery but some members go to field shoots that are held around the country. There are several senior and county coaches among the membership helping fellow archers develop their skills. There is a wealth of experience in the club and numbers are expanding - archers new to the area and beginners are welcome to enquire about membership.
We shoot outdoors all year round on weekends, and on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in the summer, we also shoot indoors during the winter months.

The summer shooting season is well under way with three of our Club shoots along with our flagship open event - The Sir Thomas Wyatt completed. Congratulations to the successful competitors.
The Sir Tommy was held at a new venue to archery: Kings Hill Sports Park and much great feedback was received from the shooters. Many thanks to KHSP staff and our own helpers who made this event a success. Results are elsewhere on this site.
Our Club Captain Geoff is fielding a strong team in the Mid Kent League this season and it is showing in the teamís standing.
Well done to Carla and Alex in the Junior Nationals in early July and to Malcolm for his 6 gold end in a competition a little while ago.

Congratulations to all the archers who took part at Gravesend Archers Jubilee Shoot.
